Download a new font: write like Audrey Hepburn!

As you probably know by now, today is Audrey's birthday. And I'm celebrating it by publishing Audrey Hepburn's handwriting font 2.0, a digital font that lets you write like Audrey in softwares like Microsoft Word. I had shared it some years ago in audrey1.org forum, but I've worked on it and made some improvements: characters with less imperfections, less space between them and a new special character, a little heart Audrey used to draw at the end of her letters:

I haven't tested the heart character in different keyboards, but it should appear by pressing Shift and the key next to P at the same time. A little version of the heart will also appear automatically if you have a weird character that my font doesn't recognize.

If you have any trouble with the font, please let me know and I'll try to fix it.
If you happen to find a handwritten letter from Audrey containing a capital Z, please tell me, because I couldn't find any.

Oh, I also improved the Classic Stars Handwriting Fonts page. I added a new Paypal donation button, so if you like the fonts and want to contribute, enter any amount you can give, otherwise just download them for free. Also, check the terms of use and the instructions. Well that's all! Just enjoy, Audrey wrote beautifully :)

Edit: seems that Audrey and Grace's handwriting fonts are not working on MAC (they seem to be working fine on Windows). Give me some time to figure out what happens with Mac. I'll let you know when they're fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Download Grace Kelly's handwriting font (+ wallpaper)!

The epic quest is finally over. The participants are coming home, all weary, after looking and looking for the mysterious star. I was Rumpelstiltskin, making you guess guess guess the name. And a victorious figure rises while the sun comes down: KC The Great Guesser, now double winner, who cleverly used the method of The Question in her blog. It's time, my fellow readers, to open the chest and discover the prize.

And yes it was Grace Kelly. Did you know that she had that kind of playful personality? I've always found that ax anecdote very interesting :) Thanks to Gordon Pasha, who posted the video in KC's blog, you can hear the story from Alec Guinness himself:

And about her handwriting, gosh, I love it, it's so cool. I made a wallpaper to use the font (I added the image to the rar file containing the font):

(When you are Grace Kelly you can call Greta Garbo "Miss G").

Ingrid Bergman's handwriting font + how I met her daughter

So, KC unlocked the prize and as I promised I'm sharing it with you. Let me tell you that creating these fonts is just a hobby, so I'm obviously not a professional. This is version 1.0. because there are some characters I couldn't find in Ingrid's letters, like $, & and q, so I just had to invent them based in other characters. I hope someday I can find new letters and update the file.

What can I say about the way Ingrid wrote? Well, her handwriting was classy and elegant, her characters were thin and long, and cursive...very cursive.

So play with it and have fun. I'm just going to add a little story. The closest I've been to a classic star is when I met Isabella Rossellini, Ingrid's daughter. She came to Chile like 4 years ago the present a documentary about her dad.

At the time I wasn't a crazy classic film fan, but my dad loved Ingrid and I thought she was a great actress (plus I had seen Isabella in "Friends" and "Alias"). So I cut out a little picture of her that appeared on the newspaper with a quote and put it in my bag. After my classes at university, I went with a friend to the place Isabella was supposed to be (a "cultural room" near our presidential palace) with little hopes.

But we waited like 20 minutes and Isabella arrived with a bunch of people (our Minister of Culture among them) and there were no fans besides us. So I stepped forward, showed the little piece of paper and my Sharpie to her. She smiled (I never noticed how much she looked like her mother until that moment) and signed it. I mumbled something and she kept walking with the bunch of guys. My friend took a picture of that moment (I know, it's not very clear, but we were so star struck that a better image was impossible to get):

In this page I'll add the classic stars' handwriting fonts (.ttf) I've released. They work in any software that loads fonts (Microsoft Office, Pages, Adobe Photoshop, etc). You can use them to bring the Classic Stars touch to your digital work, always respecting the...

terms of use
I don't want to sound annoying and serious, but please give these files a proper use and respect my work. That means, obviously, that you may not:

Sell or commercialize these fonts in any platform or claim them as your own.
Re-distribute these fonts.
Use them for any harmful, pornographic, or racial material or material that may be deemed harmful or offensive to another person (dead or alive).

Please notice that these fonts were made years ago, so they can behave differently on newer operator systems.

Please notice that handwriting may change depending if the writer is in a rush, is older, or whatever; what I did was to pick the characters shapes the stars used most of the time.
