A day like this, 50 years ago, a film called Breakfast At Tiffany's was released.
This post is part of the Photo[graphs] + Music Series.

PS: To hear the song, you must be reading this on my site :)

  1. For a song called "Heartaches," this was quite delightful! Nice photo of Audrey, Mel Ferrer, and Truman Capote!

  2. I know! It was very cool to find it when I was looking for something else :) Very rare picture. Thanks for visiting, Kailey.

  3. Yeah, I liked the song "Heartaches" for this picture, because it embodies the duality of the situation between these three: how things ended for Audrey and Mel (you know, she reportedly said it was like living in hell the last years with him; he cheated on her, etc) plus Capote saying that even Audrey was his friend, he preferred Marilyn Monroe for the part of Holly Golightly. So, the moment captured in the picture is happy, like the tune; but the complete story isn't, like the title (and the lyrics not used in this version). Thanks for visiting Dorian :)
