...according to moi, of course. OK, here's the thing: some stars like Marlon Brando and James Dean are beautiful, obviously, but there's something about them that doesn't appeal to me. Maybe is the "rebel label", I don't know. To me, Robert Mitchum is more handsome because I feel that he attitude is more natural and real, not staged. I also tried to add some lesser known actors, just because they looked drop dead gorgeous in the one film I saw from them. Oh, I had to leave out people like Clark Gable and Laurence Olivier, sorry.
Well, enjoy:
|
10. Robert Mitchum. He was just neat. |
|
9. Gregory Peck. A kind man. |
|
7. Burt Lancaster. Great acting and physical skills. |
|
6. William Holden. Beautiful man, great actor. |
|
5. Jeffrey Hunter (The Searchers). Just saw him in 1 movie, never forgot him. |
|
4. Cary Grant. A combination of looks and attitude. |
|
3. Errol Flynn. The most beautiful rascal ever. |
|
2. Paul Newman. For those who think he was mostly eyes. |
|
1. Gary Cooper. Could he be more gorgeous? |

My list would probably include John Wayne, based on his movies in the 30s and 40s.
ReplyDeletePues pienso que has escogido bien.
ReplyDeleteUn besito :-)
An excellent list; I can't find fault with any of your choices. I would have disagreed if you had included Clark Gable; I'm not a big fan. However, if I could suggest an alternate I would include Ray Milland, who is one of my favorite actors (and quite beautiful when he was young).
ReplyDeleteI just adore your list. Love that you chose a picture of Paul that doesn't emphasize his famous blue eyes (which, of course, are dreamy *sigh*).
Gary Cooper (Juan Nadie)
I didn't know Jeffrey Hunter, but he's handsome! Your list is really nice
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes to Burt Lancaster! I love the whole list though--nice variety.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices...however, I would have added Rudolph Valentino, Jean Gabin, John Gilbert, Humphrey Bogart, Joel McCrea, Gunnar Björnstrand, & for two that are still with us, Jean-Paul Belmondo & Alain Delon.
ReplyDeleteI love your list and photos Clara although Ramon Novarro always makes my top ten as well as my dreams! Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteLA LISTA DE 'HOMBRES BELLOS', NO ESTA MAL...PERO FALTA TONY CURTIS! (JOVEN)
ReplyDeleteI love your list! Wouldn't be the same as my list, but all the ones on your list are gorgeous... except I've never heard of John Justin.

(Ahem) Excuse me, Marlon Brando?
ReplyDeleteI would have definitely included Tyrone Power is this list who was an absolute babe especially in his youth. I agree with your number 1 choice, Gary Cooper. Beautiful, flawless features, tall and elegant....there is no one in film today that touches him.
