My top 5 movies from Grace Kelly

I've rambled about why I wouldn't trade my life for Grace's. I shared with you the font I made based on her lovely handwriting. I uploaded a Guide to Properly Spying on Your Neighbors. But I haven't post about my favorite movies starring Grace Kelly. Here's my top 5 (because she didn't make many films and her stupid studio just gave her mostly dull roles):

#5 High Society (1954)

I don't really like the whole movie. But I love this version of "True Love" and its the one and only time Grace got to sing in a movie (in her words she "even had the nerve to sing a song"). She won a golden disc because the record sold more than a million copies (you can hear the whole story from Grace herself, minute 2.30)

#4 To Catch a Thief (1955)
Great lines in this movie, "do you want a leg or a breast?| via: youaresocoolyouaresocool.tumblr.com/
#3 Dial M for Murder (1954)
Aaaah, the suspense...|via: isuggestyoutryvichy.tumblr.com/

#2 The Country Girl (1954)
She's just great as the selfless wife of troubled Bing Crosby | via: tocaptureyou.tumblr.com/

#1 Rear Window (1954)
Simply, one of the best movies ever | via: lisacarolfremont.tumblr.com/

Which are your faves?

  1. I think Grace's best movie was Rear Window--but that's also just one of my favorite movies ever. I also thought she was very elegant in The Swan with Alec Guinness. You know--the axe guy!

  2. I love Grace in Rear Window--her best performance ever, by far--but she's also fantastic in Mogambo! I just wish we had more movies from her.

  3. KC: I've been willing to see The Swan, but I just can't synchronize the Spanish subs I found...And yeah, THE AXE GUY :)

trueclassics: I didn't include Mogambo because I've always found it kind of weird...IMO that love triangle is not very believable, but anyway the movie has its moments (love the ending).
And yeah, Rear Window rocks all the way :)

Thanks for stopping by you two :)
