For you as a reader, is it too distracting to see commercial links in blogs?
I know that some sites display them everywhere and there are more ads than content, but I've also noticed that lots of serious blogs show them in areas where is not really annoying, which I promise to do, in case I activate this service.

i voted yes because i just ignore the ads and why shouldn't you be rewarded with a couple of $$ for your efforts?
ReplyDeleteon the other hand, i've never used ads, so i know nothing about how useful they are, to you or anybody else...
I voted "yes" because a actually have an AdBlocker extension of my Google Chrome browser. :P But I think you should get something for all your hard work--so why not?

ReplyDeleteCuando entras a un blog y te saltan un montón de anuncios dan deseos de largarte a otro lado. De todos modos, no se qué sistema pondrás si son pop ups (creo que se llaman así) o es para picar en un enlace. Yo voté no por lo que te comenté, pero éste es tu sitio y eres tú quien debe de decidir, y en cualquier caso si lo pones un tiempo ya podrás comprobar si te funciona o no, y si vale la pena.

I don't know enough about AdSense to vote. I've seen blogs as well that have so many ads it looks more like Madison Avenue than a movie blog. On the other hand, if they are not distracting, it might be OK. I don't understand how you make money with it -- that's not so bad!

ReplyDeleteAudrey: Well, with Adsense you don't really need an add blocker, because Google just shows a text link and description of the promoted sites in the site, no pop-ups :) Thanks for participate!

Lola: Muchas gracias por tu dejar tu opinión. Sí, la verdad es que hay sitios en los que se abren anuncios y no tiene ninguna gracia. Pero AdSense no trabaja con eso, sino que sólo con texto y links en el área que tu escoges.
ClassicBecky: When you activate AdSense, Google adds some text ads (duh) in the area you choose (footer, sidebar, etc). Each time an user clicks the ad links, you earn a bit of money. If many people visit your blog, there are more chances that they click the related ads and that's how you earn money. Then Google sends you a check :) Thanks for stopping by!

De todos modos, no se qué sistema pondrás si son pop ups (creo que se llaman así) o es para picar en un enlace.
